The presence of educational technology is growing in the classroom. How are schools and teachers keeping up with this trend? The new generation of kids come ready to work with these new technologies which play an important role in children’s learning & acquiring cognitive knowledge, so that educational technology must be incorporated into future curricula. The application of educational technology enhances skills and cognitive characteristics. With the help of new technology comes an explosion of learning and receiving new information especially on mobile devices. Educational technology motivates students work independently where the student is more motivated to return to learning and working because modern technical equipment is widely available at any given moment.
Letslearn.ng by Brainiacs STEM & Robotics and its partners under the umbrella of Africa Education Technology Fair is happy to extend an invitation, inviting you to participate in the Lagos EdTech 2019 Teachers Continuous Development Program scheduled to hold on 28th & 29th June 2019.

At the Africa Edtech 360 Fair, Educators will receive hands-on training & Practical deployment on trending Education technology tools they can use to inspire classroom creativity and successfully engage the minds of students in learning. At the end of the training, educators will be able to add fresh elements to the classroom and encourage students to be creative with the new skill sets they would be acquiring during the 2 days immersive training. Materials, tools and equipments such as Oculus go, Oculus rift, mBOTS, Microbits, LEGO Education would be made available for educators, while educators are expected to come along with their PCs’.
Key Training Sessions Include:

1. Educational Technology in the Classroom: Deploying Interactive Lesson Contents Using Virtual Reality (VR)

2. Improving Creative, Critical and Computational Thinking Skills through Coding

3. Robotics in the Classroom for Educators

4. Design Thinking for Educators

Certificate of Proficiency in the use of Educational Technology Tools in the Classroom would be awarded to participating educators and schools.

We have 50 slots only for staff of educators available for this training. The training is scheduled to hold on the 28th and 29th of June 2019. The venue of the training would be at Agip Hall, Muson Centre Onikan Lagos. The training would take place 9am – 5pm daily.
