In a bid to control the spread of coronavirus, the University of Ilorin(UNILORIN) has screened four returning international students.

The Chairperson of Unilorin Coronavirus Prevention Committee, Dr Idayat Adurotoye, disclosed this on Thursday 19th March, 2020, in Ilorin.

Adurotoye said that three of the students were Ghanaians while one was a Chadian.

“This is part of the university’s proactive measures to ensure the international students are free from the virus,” she said.

“Since the outbreak of coronavirus, the committee has put in place preventive mechanism to ensure no incident is recorded,” she added.

Adurotoye explained that the committee had also made provision to distribute hand sanitisers and other preventive kits in the institution.

She urged members of the university community to ensure they observe high level of environmental hygiene.
