LASUBEB Concludes Games Festival, Reiterates Commitment to Extra-Curricular Activities

Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has reiterated commitment to co-curricular activities across government-owned schools in the state.

The Executive Chairman of LASUBEB, Mr. Wahab Alawiye-King, disclosed this at the opening ceremony of the final football match held at the Agege Stadium on Friday April 2, 2021.

Alawiye-King said that the annual competition, which commenced on Tuesday 30th March, 2021, was organised to showcase the skills of the school students and inculcate in them the spirit of sportsmanship.

He maintained that basic education in Lagos State does not only focus on cognitive and affective aspects of learning but also on the psychomotor domain of students.

He stressed that the government believes that no aspect of learning should be neglected considering the diverse inherent gifts, skills and abilities of the students.
