President Muhammad Buhari has condemned the trending reports of sex-for-mark cases in the country’s university system.

Speaking on behalf of the President at the 35th convocation of University of Ilorin, on Wednesday 23rd October, 2019, the Deputy Executive Director of the National Universities Commission, Dr Suleiman Yusuf, said sexual immoralities had tarnished the nation’s university system.

Stories of sex-for-marks and sexual harassment have given the nation a bad reputation.

He however stressed that any lecturer in the nation’s tertiary institutions, indicted for sex-for-marks and other sexual-related offences would face the stiffest punishment under the law.
