11 indigent students win UI ASUU indigents scholarship awards

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Ibadan Chapter has awarded eleven indigent students scholarship awards to the tune of N1.1 million to support their education, keep them focused and improve their academic performances.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Ibadan Chapter has awarded eleven indigent students scholarship awards to the tune of N1.1 million to support their education, keep them focused and improve their academic performances.

The eleven students were found most suitable for the 2024/2025 ASUU indigent students scholarship awards after rigorous screening and interviews by the Selection Committee out of the over 100 students who applied to benefit from the scholarship.

A sum of ₦200,000 was awarded to two students on behalf of the National ASUU.
Five students were granted ₦100,000 each by the University of Ìbàdàn Branch of ASUU (ASUU-UI).

A member of the branch, Tajudeen Àkànjí, a Professor and UI lecturer, granted ₦50,000 each to four students and the Union in support of the initiative.

Among the beneficiaries are: Omotola Bello (Pharmacy), Alan success Opeyemi (Economics), Moshood Opeyemi (Medicine and Surgery), Adegoke Adeseun Oladayo (Medicine and Surgery), Ogunlowo Tayo (Pharmacy), Bello Ayomide (Medicine and Surgery) and Adewumi Mary (Nursing), among others.
