46 Students of UniAbuja Engaged in GTA, GRA

Not less than forty-six students of the University of Abuja has been engaged in Graduate Teaching Assistants ( GTA) and the Graduate Research Assistants (GRA).

This was disclosed this in a statement on Thursday January 19, 2023, by the dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Ukherto Gabriel Moti.

According to the dean, the postgraduate students, which cut across all faculties of the university, are engaged for the programme of the UofA for the 2021/2022 academic session.

The assistantship programme is designed to engage exceptional postgraduate students by their various departments for teaching and research in the course of their study in the University.

Moti noted that the programme is aimed at supporting the students to advance their education through practice-based experiences, research, teaching, mentoring and development of their skills towards a career in academics.

Professor Moti added that the successful candidates for the GTA/GRA programme would get stipends to meet some of their needs.

“The students were engaged following the approval of budget for running the programme, advert placement for the positions and interview conducted by the various departments,” Moti said.
