9TH UNILAG ANNUAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE AND FAIR BEGINS, OCTOBER 22

The 9th (Ninth) Annual Research Conference and Fair(an International Conference of the Sciences and Humanities) organized by the University of Lagos will begin on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 in the Multipurpose Halls, UNILAG Main Campus. The three-day Conference and Fair, whose main theme is “Researching Health, Infrastructure and Development” has the following Sub-Themes:

1.    Public and Community Health and Development

2.    Communication Technology, Energy and Health

3.    Transportation, Infrastructure and Health

4.    Socio-economic Framework and Health

5.    Public Sector Institutional Reform, Development and Health

6.    Curriculum, Production of Knowledge and Health

7.    Nano-Science and Development

8.    Security Infrastructure and Health

9.    Science and Health

10. Manufacturing and Health

11. Environment and Health

12. Health Delivery Services in National Development

The conference will provide:

Ø  A forum for researchers, practitioners in the industry and policy makers to share ideas, research results and practical experiences on emerging issues especially on health.

Ø  An opportunity for interaction between academics and captains of industry on issues of interest to healthcare, infrastructure and development.

Ø  An avenue to connect researchers with relevant industries that have pressing needs for research outputs to rebrand their products.

Ø  A vehicle to enhance the contributions of industry to health and economic development via creation of employment and increased local content.

The target audience include: academic researchers, research & production teams from industry, policy makers, students, non-governmental organisations, faith organisations, think-tanks and general public.

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS: Full Papers (in softcopy) should be submitted to:unilagconf@unilag.edu.ngorunilagconf@gmail.com, not later than August 31, 2013. Accepted Papers for the Conference shall appear in the Book of Proceedings and successfully reviewed papers presented at the Conference shall be published in the newly established UNILAG Journal of Humanities (UJH) and UNILAG Journal of Medicine, Science & Technology (UJMST).

POSTER COMPETITION: Participants who wish to take part in the ‘Best Poster Competition’ should make Poster Presentation in addition to their choice of Oral Presentation (Using A0 sized poster of 33.11” by 46.81”). Awards will be given to winners.
