The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State, has conferred an award for Outstanding Achievements in the Oil Industry in Nigeria on the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of First Hydrocarbon Nigeria Limited, Femi Bajomo.
This was contained in a statement made available by the institution to Edugist on Thursday.
Bajomo won the award following his contributions to the development of oil and gas, a commitment the school described as measurable and sustainable value delivery to the sector.
The statement read, “The Federal University of Petroleum Resources on Thursday, July 04, 2024, named Engr Femi Bajomo, the MD/CEO, of First Hydrocarbon Nigeria Limited, recipient of the FUPRE 2024 Award for Measurable and Sustainable Value Delivery in the Oil and Gas Industry.
“The award was part of the FUPRE 2024 awards bestowed on individuals and organizations with visible laudable footprints in the Oil and Gas industry.”
According to the statement, the awardee who also spoke on behalf of other awardees in different categories appreciated the institution for the honour, calling on the school to explore every possible collaboration opportunity between the school and the oil and gas industry.
Bajomo has over 30 years of experience in oil and gas operations, business development, portfolio management, contract negotiations, and asset management between 2005 and 2010.
