President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reappointed Professor Yusuf Jibrin Bara as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi. This decision extends Bara’s tenure for another four years, marking his second and final term in office.
The reappointment comes after a thorough assessment of Professor Bara’s performance during his first term, where he was credited with significant achievements at the teaching hospital.
President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed that the President expects Professor Bara to build upon the successes of his initial term and further enhance the quality of healthcare delivery at ATBUTH.
Professor Bara’s first term saw various improvements in the hospital’s operations, and his reappointment is seen as a move to ensure continuity and stability in the management of the institution.
