The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced plan to host a dual celebration on November 7, 2024, marking the launch of “Lifted,” an autobiography by former Vice Chancellor Professor Peter Olufemi Adeniyi, alongside the inauguration of the Peter Adeniyi Foundation.
The event will commence at 10:00 a.m. at the Theodore Idibiye Francis Auditorium, FUTA, and promises to honor the remarkable journey and contributions of Professor Adeniyi to academia and society.

Professor Olatunde Arayela, Chairman of the Planning Committee, has noted the importance of the event, stating, “The Foundation will broaden the reach of Professor Adeniyi’s quiet generosity, bringing his vision of upliftment to more people in need.” Professor Adenike Oladiji, FUTA’s current Vice Chancellor, will serve as the Chief Host, while Ekiti State Governor Abiodun Oyebanji will attend as the Special Guest of Honor.
Guests are encouraged to be seated by 9:45 a.m. to join in celebrating the legacy of one of FUTA’s most influential leaders.
