“Adekunle Ajasin University’s commitment to providing quality education, fostering an enabling learning environment, and promoting academic excellence has been duly acknowledged. This well-deserved accolade serves as an inspiration to other educational institutions and reinforces the University’s position as a leading hub for knowledge, innovation, and societal transformation.

We are confident that this recognition will further propel the institution to greater heights and inspire continuous advancements in the pursuit of academic distinction.

“As a youth forum deeply committed to the growth and development of our community, we celebrate this remarkable achievement as a shared success. Adekunle Ajasin University’s success resonates not only within the academic community but also throughout Nigeria and West Africa.”

Apart from being ranked the best state-owned University in 2023, AAUA also clinched 13th position among Nigerian universities, 99th in Africa, and 2,753rd globally out of 12,003 institutions ranked in the Webometrics.

Reacting to the latest ranking, the VC stated that the persistent efforts of the stakeholders made it possible.

Ige noted that the latest Webometrics ranking was a result of dedication from both the staff and students and would not have been possible if not for all stakeholders’ sacrifice.

He said: “That our University has consistently been ranked best State-owned University in Nigeria is a no mean achievement. This is the sixth time in the recent years that AAUA has been ranked best of all state-owned varsities in Nigeria. This has been made possible by our staff, students and alumni. It means an upshot from our investment in our ICT; it means we have impressive online presence with our online service delivery and publication of quality scholarly articles.

“Despite our funding challenges, we have proven that if we have more supports, we can attain greater heights. We are proud of this and we thank every stakeholder that has made it possible.”
