Alumni donate digitised transcript, certificate processing equipment to EKSU

The Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti Alumni Association, has donated digitised transcript processing equipment to the university in order to streamline the processing of transcripts and certificates.

Dipo Bamisaye, the Global President of EKSU Alumni, stated that this generous act supplements the previous donation of computer laptops to the Transcripts Processing Unit of the institution.

He emphasised the association’s dedication to the university’s advancement and transformation.

In a statement released in Ado Ekiti on Saturday, Olumide Abudu, the Alumni Public Relations Officer, revealed that Bamisaye made these remarks at EKSU while handing over the equipment to the university, alongside Wale Jegede, PhD, the Chairman of the Alumni Board of Trustees, Tope Fasua, PhD, the Chairman of the Eminent Persons Group, and other association leaders.

Fasua, the EPG Chairman, explained that the donation of the state-of-the-art computer system with the latest technology, worth millions of naira, aimed to alleviate the challenges faced by members of the alumni association during transcripts processing.

He further stated that many EKSU graduates encounter difficulties obtaining their transcripts, causing them to miss out on post-graduate admissions both domestically and internationally. This gesture will ensure expedited processing of transcripts and certificates.

Jegede, the BOT Chairman, highlighted the necessity of this donation to align with international best practices.

Professor Edward Olanipekun, the Vice Chancellor of EKSU, underscored the Alumni Association’s significant role in the development of higher institutions and assured the university’s responsible use of the equipment.

Olanipekun added, “When utilized effectively, this equipment will alleviate the burden on our alumni members when processing their transcripts and certificates.”
