Alumni promise to elevate EKSU reputation

The Global President, Ekiti State University Alumni Association, Dipo Bamisaye, has tasked the EKSU Alumni on collaboration, creation of impactful initiatives to enhance the reputation of their alma mater globally.

He also called for a focus on innovation, mentorship and commitment to the development of their alma mater.

Bamisaye was quoted as making this call in Birmingham during the inauguration of the new executives of the EKSU Alumni Association, United Kingdom/Ireland chapter.

Bamisaye, who congratulated the new leaders and the UK/Ireland chapter for their dedication to fostering a strong alumni network, stressed the importance of collaboration, innovation, and mentorship in driving both personal and institutional development.

Bamisaye said, “As alumni, we have a responsibility to support one another and give back to our alma mater, EKSU, in ways that uplift the next generation.”

He added, “This inauguration is not just about leadership; it is about commitment, vision, and the continuous growth of our great institution. I encourage this new team to build on the successes of the past, create impactful initiatives and strengthen the bonds among our global alumni community. Together, we can elevate EKSU’s reputation and make a lasting difference.”

The new executive members are Hammed Nureni, Chairman; Ms Seyi Tella-Raufu, Vice Chairman; Mr Sola Fayemi, Vice Chairman 2; Mr Taiwo Okunuga, Secretary; Mr Tope Idowu, Treasurer; Mr Ayiti Adebayo, Technical Secretary; Ms Tolulope Ogunyamoju-Destiny, Welfare Secretary; and Mr Ifemide Tolulope Fatoba, Social Secretary.

In his acceptance speech, Nureni pledged to strengthen alumni engagement, enhance professional collaborations and contribute meaningfully to the growth and global recognition of EKSU.

“I would advance the association’s objectives, strengthen partnerships, and align the chapter’s goals with the vision of the global Executives,” he added.
