Students across tertiary institutions in Anambra State have thrown their weight behind the second-term ambition of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, ahead of the November 8 governorship election.

The declaration of support came under the umbrella of the National Union of Anambra State Students (NUASS) during a colloquium held in honour of the governor at the ASUU Secretariat, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka.

Speaking on behalf of the student body, NUASS President, Comrade Felix Nwachinaemelu, lauded Governor Soludo’s leadership style, citing his focus on youth inclusion, skill acquisition, innovation, and education reform as major factors behind the endorsement.

Governor Soludo’s commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive governance has inspired students across Anambra to believe more in government and their role in shaping the state’s future,” Nwachinaemelu said.

He praised the governor’s visionary approach to governance, commending his people-oriented policies and pledging the union’s support for his re-election bid.

Also speaking, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Mr. Fred Agbata, commended the students for aligning with the governor’s developmental philosophy, describing Soludo as a visionary leader who has redefined governance through innovation and technology.

Delivering a keynote address titled “Rethinking Developmental Governance: The Philosophy of Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo,” Agbata highlighted the governor’s transformative achievements, including reforms in education, infrastructure, and digital innovation — noting that Soludo’s leadership model is shaping a new narrative for governance in Nigeria.
