Applications are open to 2024/2025 Kaduna State Government (KDSG) Scholarship.

Qualified candidates will have the opportunities to study both in Local And Foreign university of their choice.

The Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board have a mandate ‘To identify, select and empower qualified citizens of Kaduna state to meet the current and future manpower requirements of the State while remaining globally competitive’.

Merit: Scholarship Requirement

• A minimum CGPA of 4.0 of 5.0 or 3.5 of 4.0

• Must be a student who has at least one more semester at the time of disbursement

• Must not be a spill over student.

Fresh students must provide evidence of Grade B in at least five subjects including Mathematics and English and Grade C for the other subjects taken in WASSCE or NECO in one seating and not later than 2017.

Needs-Based Scholarship Description

The Kaduna State Government is particular about ensuring that indigent students (poor and needy) have equal access to quality education as a leveler to prosperity.

The Kaduna State Government is determined that only the needy benefits from this type of scholarship. Whoever applies for this scholarship must be ready and willing to provide information on Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Biometric Verification Number (BVN). Applicants with properties must be willing to provide same where available.

Successful candidates should see this as a great leveler that will improve the economic wellbeing of themselves and their family upon graduation. Scholarship Requirement

• A minimum CGPA of 2.0 of 5.0 or 1.6 of 4.0

• Must be a student who has at least one more semester at the time of disbursement

• Must not be a spill over student.

• Masters students who have spent more than 2 years or PhD students who have spent more than 4 years need not apply.

• All students who just resumed 100 levels, ND1 or HND1 from January, 2020 should apply despite that they do not have any result yet.

Make sure your parents (both) urgently get their Tax Certificate immediately
If any of your parents is dead, make sure you have his/her death certificate in place of their Tax Certificate
If any of your parents is a peasant or housewife in any of the urban or rural areas, make sure they get a tax certificate even if they earn as low as N100. Tax offices are in every local government area in Nigeria

Undergraduate Scholarship Requirement

Grade A in at least five subjects including Mathematics and English and Grade B for the other subjects taken in WASSCE or NECO in one seating and not before 2017
Candidates can apply without a secured admission, but admission must be gotten from an approved university before scholarship award

Postgraduate Scholarship Requirement

An undergraduate first class degree to apply for Masters
A Masters distinction to apply for PhD
Candidates can apply without a secured admission, but admission must be gotten from an approved university before scholarship award.
