The University of Cambridge has opened applications for its 2025 Africa Changemakers Scholarship, a fully funded opportunity for outstanding PhD candidates from across Africa.

This scholarship programme aims to support future leaders whose research addresses development challenges on the African continent, with a focus on sustainability and climate resilience. It is available to scholars across all academic disciplines and can be held at any Cambridge college.

Benefits:
The scholarship provides full tuition, a generous annual stipend, visa and immigration health surcharge coverage, as well as funding for travel and research-related expenses. It is part of the university’s broader commitment to empowering African scholars and is closely affiliated with the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme.
