Applications are open for the 2026/2027 University of Edinburgh Mastercard Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships, a fully funded program for young Africans with strong academic records and leadership potential.
Benefits:
The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, travel, living stipends, study materials, and provides extra support for scholars with disabilities. Beneficiaries also join a climate leadership program and the Climate Enterprise School, which trains participants in sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation.
Eligibility:
To qualify, applicants must hold at least a UK Second Class (Upper) Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, have graduated by 21 November 2025, and be citizens or residents of an African country. They must be 35 years or younger (born on or after 1 January 1991) and have a proven record of leadership and community service.
Required documents include a degree certificate, final transcript, and proof of citizenship or refugee status. Applicants must show evidence of barriers to education—social, financial, or personal. Those who already hold a postgraduate degree are not eligible.
