APPLY: Fully Funded Australian RMIT University 2024 Scholarship

The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) is now accepting applications for the 2025 RMIT University Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship provides full coverage of tuition fees and offers a generous stipend of $34,841 per annum for living expenses, along with a $1,540 relocation allowance for eligible candidates.

Eligibility:
To qualify for the 2025 RMIT Research Stipend Scholarship, applicants must meet several criteria. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree with at least four years of full-time study in a relevant discipline, awarded with honors. Additionally, applicants must have achieved at least a credit average in their final year. Those with a master’s degree that includes a research component of at least 25% of a full-time academic year are also eligible. RMIT evaluates applicants based on previous study, relevant work experience, research publications, and other research experiences. Importantly, candidates should not have completed a graduate research program at the same or higher course level and must not have previously held an RMIT or Commonwealth-funded postgraduate research scholarship unless it was terminated within six months of commencement.

Benefits:
The scholarship provides substantial financial support to recipients. A stipend of $34,841 per annum is offered for full-time study. International candidates also receive an RTP International Tuition Fee Offset Scholarship (RIFOS) or an RMIT Research International Tuition Fee Scholarship (RRITFS), ensuring no tuition fees for the maximum duration of their candidature. Local candidates, including Australian and New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, are awarded an RTP Fee Offset scholarship. Additionally, a relocation allowance up to $1,540 is available to cover moving expenses. The scholarship also includes paid sick, maternity, and parenting leave.

Application process:
The application process is straightforward. Interested applicants should visit the official RMIT scholarship webpage. Candidates must choose their desired Master’s or Doctoral program and identify a relevant research project. Evidence of an academic staff member’s agreement to supervise the research is required when submitting an expression of interest. Applicants must prepare their applications carefully and submit all required documents as per the guidelines provided.
