Applications have officially opened for the 2025 edition of the NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme, a merit-based financial support initiative targeted at Nigerian undergraduates. Jointly sponsored by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited and the Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), in collaboration with their co-venture partners, the scholarship aims to promote academic excellence and enhance the technical and leadership potential of Nigerian youths.

Benefits:
The scholarship provides yearly financial grants to selected students from their second year of study until the completion of their undergraduate programme. This initiative is part of SNEPCo’s broader social investment strategy to support education and human capital development in Nigeria. Female students are strongly encouraged to apply as part of efforts to promote gender inclusion.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be Nigerian citizens currently in their second year of full-time study at a public Nigerian university accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). In addition, candidates must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5bon a 5.0 scale (or its equivalent) and must not be receiving any other scholarship from the oil and gas industry, either local or international.

Application process:
Applicants are required to complete their submissions exclusively through the scholarship portal no later than August 15, 2025. As part of the selection process, all eligible candidates will be invited to participate in a computer-based test.

Interested candidates must upload clear scanned copies of the following documents on the application portal:

* Recent passport photograph (not older than 6 months)
* University Admission Letter
* JAMB or UTME Result
* O’ Level Result (WAEC or NECO)
* University ID card
* Academic result (transcript or statement of results for year one)
* State of Origin certificate

To maintain the scholarship throughout their studies, awardees must sustain a minimum CGPA of 3.5every academic session. Falsification of documents will lead to immediate disqualification. Students who meet the criteria can apply through the official portal HERE.
