The Oando Foundation has announced the launch of its 2025 Green Youth Upskilling Programme (GYUP), a transformative initiative aimed at equipping young Nigerians with practical skills for the emerging green economy.

Benefits:
The GYUP programme offers a comprehensive package that includes technical training in green sectors such as renewable energy, recycling innovation, sustainable farming, and climate technology. Participants will gain access to experienced mentors and industry leaders, receive grant opportunities to launch their own eco-focused ventures, and join a growing network of green youth leaders working to create environmental and social impact across Nigeria.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be Nigerian citizens aged between 20 and 35 years and must have completed at least secondary education (SSCE). Candidates must also demonstrate a genuine interest in green economy careers and be willing to commit to the full duration of the programme, whether virtual or in-person. Although prior experience in technical or environmentally-related fields is not mandatory, it will be considered a plus during the selection process.

Documents to be submitted:
Applicants are required to submit a completed application form, a recent CV or one-page bio, and a 300-word statement of interest. The statement should highlight their motivation for joining the programme, any relevant exposure to green work, and their post-training career goals. Supporting documents such as training certificates, photos of past work, or references are optional but strongly encouraged to showcase initiative and passion.

The selection process will take place in four stages: call for applications, documentation review, screening and shortlisting, and finally, interviews leading to final selection. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted to proceed to the next stage of the programme.

Application process:
Applications are now open and interested candidates can apply via the official portal
