APPLY: World Bank Group Africa Fellowship Program 2025

The World Bank Group (WBG) Africa Fellowship Program 2025, targeting young, talented African nationals completing or recently completed their Ph.D. in areas relevant to the World Bank’s mission.

This esteemed program has consistently fostered a robust pipeline of African talent passionate about development careers in international institutions, African governments, think tanks, and academia.

Benefits:
Selected fellows will receive consultant fees and round-trip economy-class airfare to Washington, D.C., or a WBG country office. Fellows will gain hands-on experience in WBG operations, including knowledge generation and dissemination, policy design, and institution building to support inclusive growth in developing countries. This six-month assignment provides a unique opportunity to engage in the WBG’s work and make a meaningful impact.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be Ph.D. candidates or recent graduates (within three years of Ph.D. completion) from Sub-Saharan Africa. They should have an excellent command of English, both written and verbal, and possess strong quantitative and analytical skills. Additionally, candidates must be 32 years old or younger by January 2025.
