Àkànní Olúwaségún Michael is a freelance journalist and News Editor at Union of Campus Journalist, University of Ibadan. He currently studies Communication and Language Arts at the University of Ibadan.

His reporting focuses on social justice and student activism, with a particular interest in the financial strain of black tax on students and the hurdles final-year students face in completing their projects. Through in-depth storytelling, he uncovers systemic barriers that shape student experiences.
