Back to school: LASUBEB Chairman monitors public Primary schools’ resumption

The Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB),
Hakeem Shittu PhD, took to the streets on Monday, 22nd April 2024, as pupils resumed for the third term of the academic year. His mission? To personally ensure that the machinery of education is well-oiled and ready to deliver quality learning experiences.

Speaking during his on-ground assessment, Shittu highlighted the paramount importance of maintaining standards in basic education delivery across Lagos State. He left no stone unturned in his quest to ascertain that both teachers and pupils were geared up for the term ahead.

But Shittu didn’t stop there. He made a direct appeal to parents and guardians, urging them to play an active role in their children’s education. By providing the necessary support and encouragement, he emphasized, parents can significantly boost their children’s academic performance and ensure a smooth return to school.

With Shittu at the helm, LASUBEB is steering the ship of education in Lagos State with a firm hand. As the third term kicks off, the board remains steadfast in its commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a culture of excellence in the state’s public primary schools.
