The Governing Council of the Benson Idahosa University (BIU) has approved the appointment of a professor of Fisheries, Johnson Oyedeji, as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC).
The Acting Head, Communications and Brand Strategy Unit (CBSU), Mr. Temi Esonamunjor, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday 12th October 2020, confirmed Oyedeji’s appointment at the council’s 96th Regular Meeting.
Until his appointment, Oyedeji was a former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology of the university.
He has also held several administrative positions in the institution.
He is a Fellow of the Fisheries Society of Nigeria (FISON) and Institute of Corporate Administration.
