The Federal Government of Nigeria has reviewed the resumption date for schools across the country.
While disclosing this on Monday January 11, 2021, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, said the decision was a result of the second wave of COVID-19 currently ravaging the country.
The Minister said this while answering questions during a press briefing by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja.
“There is need for the FG to review the January 18 earlier date fixed for resumption of schools across Nigeria,” Adamu said.
“On the January 18 resumption date, we are reviewing it. We are going to review it.
“At the PTF meeting today, we considered it, and tomorrow, the ministry is going to take it up,” he added.
