Buhari appoints Baba Haruna as Rector, Federal Polytechnic Bida

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Baba Aliyu Haruna as the Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Bida.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Minister of Education, Alhaji Adamu Adamu, on Wednesday May 17 2023, in Minna, Niger state capital.

According to the statement, the 5-year appointment is effective from May 21.

The minister said, “I write to convey to you the approval of Mr. President, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, for your appointment as Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State.”

He added, “The terms and conditions of service including remuneration and fringe benefits shall be as approved for Rectors of Federal Polytechnic.”

Buhari has, however, congratulated the new rector and wished him a most successful tenure in office.

The new rector until his appointment was the Director of Quality assurance, he expressed gratitude to President Buhari for the appointment, saying, “he would do everything humanly possible to lift the standard of the polytechnic to a greater height”.
