In a bold move to combat period poverty and menstrual stigma, Celebrity Nurse Esther, a registered nurse and digital health educator, has donated sanitary pads to students in 10 secondary schools across Lagos State. The outreach impacted hundreds of schoolgirls who often struggle with access to menstrual products and accurate health information.

“Menstruation is a normal part of life, and no girl should feel ashamed or unprepared because she lacks the resources,” said Esther Ijeoma Francis, the woman behind the initiative.

Beyond just providing sanitary pads, Esther led interactive sessions to educate the girls on menstrual hygiene, debunk myths, and foster open conversations about their bodies. “This wasn’t just about giving out pads,” she emphasized. “It was about restoring dignity, building confidence, and letting young girls know that they are seen, heard, and supported.”

Her gesture has received praise from parents, teachers, and online supporters, reinforcing her growing influence as a women’s health advocate in Nigeria.
