Cross River State First Secondary School Cultural Festival and Poetry

The Cross River State Secondary School Cultural Festival and Poetry, an event being organized by the Cross River State Ministry of Culture and Tourism is the first of its kind in the state, region and nation.

It is designed to promote cultural education in secondary schools and the art of writing and reading through poetry contest.

The event will be featuring a total of 60 selected secondary schools from the three senatorial districts of the state will have the students compete for a cultural trophy and scholarships.

Top dignitaries expected to be in attendance includes culture and tourism commissioners from Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Edo, Ebonyi, Abia, Enugu and Imo states. Also in attendance will be Royal fathers, State Exco members, legislative members, school children and general public.

The event promises to be a colorful display of cultural heritage and pride. It will hold on Wednesday, 11th April 2018 at the U.J Eusene Stadium, Calabar, Cross River State from 9am.
