D-Prize Global Competition 2024 offers entrepreneurs $20K grants to combat poverty

The D-Prize Global Competition 2024 has opened its doors to applications, seeking to catalyze the creation of new organizations dedicated to distributing proven poverty solutions on a large scale.

With the goal of scaling initiatives capable of reaching thousands, if not millions, of individuals in need, D-Prize invites entrepreneurs to design innovative nonprofit or social ventures.

Benefits:
Successful teams stand to receive grants of up to $20,000 USD from D-Prize to establish their new organizations in regions grappling with severe poverty. This financial support aims to empower entrepreneurs to launch initiatives that address pressing social and economic challenges on a significant scale.

Eligibility:
D-Prize welcomes applications from new organizations led by first-time entrepreneurs, particularly encouraging participation from individuals in low-and-middle income countries. While existing organizations may apply, priority is given to those focusing on the distribution of evidence-based poverty interventions. Organizations with more than 18 months of full-time operations or significant outside funding are typically ineligible for support.

Application Process:
Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the current D-Prize challenges and access the application form via the organization’s website. Early submissions are due by June 23, 2024, with a regular submission deadline of July 14, 2024. An extension is available until August 4, 2024, allowing additional time for entrepreneurs to finalize their proposals.

Application deadline: August 4, 2024.
