An Abuja-based lawyer and social commentator, Deji Adeyanju, has honoured two outstanding graduates of the Nigerian Law School with a total cash reward of N8 million in recognition of their remarkable academic achievements.

The presentation took place on Friday when the top-performing graduates visited the office of Adeyanju’s law firm in Abuja.

Oluwabusayo Ifonlaja, Esq., who emerged as the overall best graduating student at the Nigerian Law School after clinching a record-breaking 18 academic awards, was presented with a ₦5 million cash prize.

Miss Maryam Abiodun Lawal, Esq., who emerged as the second-best graduating student and also the best graduating female, was awarded ₦3 million for receiving eight prestigious academic awards.

In a message shared with our correspondent, Adeyanju stated: “Our firm awarded Oluwabusayo Ifonlaja a cash prize of ₦5,000,000, while Maryam Abiodun Lawal received the sum of N3,000,000.

“Their extraordinary achievements stand as a testament to the power of diligence, discipline, and determination, and future aspiration to future lawyers.”

Both recipients were among the cohort of Nigerian Law School graduates called to the Bar earlier in the week as Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
