Dowen College soars with exceptional WASSCE results

Dowen College, Lagos, is celebrating its outstanding performance in the recently released 2024 WASSCE results.

The school’s impressive Grade Result Analysis highlights the academic excellence achieved by its students; A1 Grade: 45.0 per cent; A1 – B3 Grades: 85.2 per cent; A1 – C6 Grades: 97.4 per cent and overall pass rate: 99.7 per cent.

Principal/Head of School, Dr Bisi Layiwola, attributed this remarkable achievement to the holistic teaching approach and well-rounded nurturing provided by the school.

She praised the dedication of the teachers and the resilience and determination of the students.

Layiwola said, “Parents, including those based overseas, were also acknowledged for their role in the students’ success. Their consistent communication and monitoring of their children’s progress played a crucial part in the overall achievement.

“Our focus is to produce outstanding students who are well-prepared to occupy their rightful places soon. At Dowen College Lagos, we strive to be the best.”

The school continues to set high standards, aiming to uphold its reputation for excellence and innovation in education.
