Edo University Iyamho has revealed plans to resume for a new academic session by November 16, 2020.

This was disclosed by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor, in a statement on Monday, September 21, 2020.

He said the school had concluded its 2019/2020 academic session virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aluyor also revealed that post UTME screening of the school would hold on September 24, 2020.

He further stated that the completion of the 2019/2020 academic session virtually was in line with the University’s calendar. Noting that it was hinged on the acquisition and utilisation of the Canvas-Learning Management System.

“Edo University Iyamho is among the very few Universities in the world where academic activities did not shut down due to the Coronavirus pandemic. And this is in the belief that the University is set up to finding solutions to new challenges,” he stated.

The Registrar of the University, Dr Isoken Ogboro, however, said the school was prepared to resume. But, would not hesitate to continue its academic activities virtually at the news of a spike in the COVID-19 cases.
