Education Will Play a Vital Role in Resuscitating the Nigerian Economy, Lesson from The Platform

Today the discussion at the Platform was on the theme: “The Nigerian Economy”. The organisers of the Platform, the Covenant Christian Centre deserves huge commendation first, for conceiving and sustaining its event and the consistency. The Platform has over the years being methodical in her themes, eclectic in selecting speakers and enamouring in their presentation of solutions to the Nigeria project. It has being an intellectual journey since 2008 and the organisers have tremendously utilise all the available channels in driving their message. The physical convergence at the centre, live broadcast on Channels TV and live streaming online, coalescing millions of listeners and viewers that want to listen to the leading egghead that mount the cerebral panel.

This years Worker Days edition is no exception. It is on the theme “The Nigerian Economy” with the objective, according to the Visionary, Pastor Poju Oyemade, of:

to speak words into the heart of this nation that will serve as the sprinkling of salt into the spiritual atmosphere to create peace, order and progress so that the higher ideals of life can be attained.

Beyond the profile of the speakers, one key thing is that they were not just eggheads dishing out advice and what to be done. Amongst them were key people in government who should take the message and start implementation. These included the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and the Honourable Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun.

As we listened to the excellent delivery from the first speaker to the last, one thing was clear, that the collapse of education is the collapse of a nation, says most of the speakers as you can see below.
