Kaduna State Government has directed proprietors of private schools operating in the state to register their schools with the Private Schools Board and renew their fees or have their licences revoked.
The directive was given on Wednesday by the Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Dr. Shehu Usman Adamu after a meeting with the Management of Private Schools Board.
According to the Commissioner, registration and documentation forms were available at the Private Schools Board.
While he appealed to parents to verify the registration status of schools before enrolling their wards, he advised all landlords who rented their properties to private schools to ensure that the schools were duly registered with the government or risk losing their properties.
