Lagos State Education District II has recorded another major achievement as Eva Adelaja Girls Junior Secondary School and its Principal, Mrs. Buhari Vinuyon, emerged top winners at the National Award of Excellence in Education held in Abuja.
Mrs. Vinuyon was honoured as the Most Outstanding Educational Institution Administrator, while the school received the Outstanding Educational Institution award, both presented by the National Productivity Centre in collaboration with Leadership and Professional Ethics Consultants.
The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Education District II, Mr. Omotayo Layemo Sanni, led a warm reception for the award recipients on their return, praising the school’s consistent dedication to excellence. He urged the principal to sustain the high standards that earned national recognition and continue mentoring other school leaders across the district.
In her remarks, Mrs. Vinuyon expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government and District leadership for their support. She dedicated the honours to her staff and students, emphasizing that teamwork and innovation were key to the achievement.
Education District II continues to strengthen its reputation as a model of academic excellence in Lagos, with its schools and administrators consistently earning recognition at state and national levels.
