Former Anambra State lawmaker and member of the 7th Assembly, Nonso Okafor, has unveiled the Awka School of Real Estate (ASR), aimed at equipping realtors and real estate practitioners with essential skills and ethical principles. The school was inaugurated during the Real Estate Summit and End-of-Year Fiesta organized by Reapfold Properties in Awka yesterday.

Speaking at the event, Okafor highlighted the school’s mission to empower individuals with the knowledge and professionalism needed to thrive in the real estate sector. “Our focus is on fostering professional growth and sustainable practices that contribute to the development of communities and the real estate sector in Nigeria and beyond,” he said.

He praised Reapfold Properties for its dedication to building legacies and creating wealth through real estate. The summit, themed “Building Sustainable Wealth Through Real Estate,” served as a platform for discussing opportunities in the dynamic industry while celebrating the company’s achievements over the past year. Staff and agents were also rewarded for their dedication and hard work.

Anambra State Commissioner for Housing, Paully Onyeka, commended the initiative and reaffirmed Governor Charles Soludo’s commitment to addressing the state’s housing deficit. He noted that the state government’s infrastructure development, including road construction, has significantly boosted the real estate sector. However, he cautioned against indiscriminate land sales without proper development.

“The governor is helping your business by creating roads to places people would ordinarily avoid. This has increased the value of land, making real estate in Anambra a worthwhile investment. However, we insist on development alongside sales to achieve our goals,” Onyeka emphasized.

Reapfold Properties, under Okafor’s leadership since its inception in October 2023, has recorded remarkable achievements, including completing nine major projects and expanding operations to Awka, Asaba, Enugu, and Abuja. Marketing Manager Chiamaka Udugbo celebrated the company’s milestones and expressed excitement over its growing sales network of over 1,000 realtors.

The event featured awards to outstanding performers, with Dr. Stanley Onunkwo, Chairman of the NUJ Information Chapel, receiving the Grand Ambassador Award. Onunkwo was rewarded with an SUV, an international trip, and other prizes, recognizing his exceptional contributions to the company’s growth.
