Academic activities have officially commenced at the Kwara State University (KWASU), Ilesha-Baruba Campus, as the institution held its first set of lectures on Monday, November 3, 2025.
The campus, which houses the Faculty of Agriculture, opened its doors to students from the Departments of Animal Production, Crop Production, and Fisheries and Aquaculture.
The commencement of lectures marks the formal take-off of academic operations at the Ilesha-Baruba Campus — a key milestone in KWASU’s multi-campus expansion plan aimed at improving access to quality higher education across Kwara State.
University authorities described the development as a significant step toward realizing the institution’s vision of becoming a model for innovation-driven education and community development in Nigeria.
