Careers Ltd. UK, offers a free training to teachers in Abuja, on how to use the BBC micro:bit: a hardware device specially created for computing.
This initiative was created by Microsoft, Samsung, BBC, Bluetooth, BRITISH Council, Almond Media and 24 other companies who came together to bring this device to life.
The Microbit was designed to help students learn coding by teaching them how to solve real world problems through coding.
Students can carry out functions such as controlling a ????phone to take pictures, checking the temperature of a room, using the microbit to trigger an alarm ⏰when their school bags are moved or water a plant. The exciting bit about this is that the children get to control the devices behaviour through coding.
The Microbit is great for ICT lessons&clubs in primary/secondary school.
Schools can subscribe for further free training for their ICT teachers to teach students to use the device.
