IBM launches call for Code Global Challenge 2024 with $50,000 Grand Prize

IBM has opened applications for its Call for Code Global Challenge 2024, inviting developers and problem-solvers from around the world to participate in the largest tech-for-good initiative.

The program seeks not only to foster innovation but also to ensure that the top solutions are implemented in ways that create tangible impacts in communities worldwide.

Eligibility:
Open to students, developers, and problem-solvers from universities and companies around the world.

Benefits:
The competition is open to teams of 1 to 5 people, who will compete for a grand prize of $50,000 USD. Additional prizes include a first runner-up award of $25,000 USD, a second runner-up award of $10,000 USD, and a university grant totaling $30,000 USD for the top-scoring university team’s school(s). Moreover, the winners have the opportunity to receive support for open-source implementation from The Linux Foundation, providing a valuable platform to scale their solutions.

Application process:
Teams must register and submit their projects through the Call for Code website before the specified deadline. Participants are required to include detailed documentation outlining their project’s design, usability, and creative approach. And should be send here
