He said the penalties of internet fraud are stiff as such, students must avoid temptations that may result in jail terms. He charged the students to channel their energies into useful engagements.

“Romance scams, business email compromises, hacking, impersonation, forex scam and others are corrupt practices and must not be found among you,” Bawa advised.

During his remarks, the University Registrar, Mani Ibrahim Mohammed urged students to avoid crimes and criminality.

He said that though integrity may not give huge money as early as expected, it places individuals on the path to success.

His words: “Money always comes, it may not come in your early life. But if you work hard with integrity, you will make more money than you ever believed.”
