Iwerekun Community Senior High School, Lakowe, has once again emerged as the overall winner of the Tolaram Science Challenge, clinching the top position for the second consecutive year at the competition’s 9th edition.
The annual science contest, held for secondary school students in the Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State, concluded with Iwerekun Community SHS retaining the coveted trophy, further cementing its reputation for academic distinction.
The 2025 edition of the Tolaram Science Challenge brought together 96 students from 19 schools across the region.
Participants were rigorously tested in core science subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and General Knowledge, all aimed at promoting intellectual growth, academic rivalry, and scientific inquiry.
Following their victory, the winning team from Iwerekun Community SHS paid a courtesy visit to the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Education District III, Dr. Idowu Olufunke Oyetola, where they proudly presented the trophy.
Dr. Oyetola lauded their achievement. She congratulated the students and their teachers for this outstanding accomplishment.
