JAMB prepares to release 2024 UTME results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is gearing up to announce the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), marking a pivotal moment for over 1.9 million candidates who participated in this year’s assessment across the nation.

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, is set to address the media in Abuja on Monday, shedding light on the release of the UTME results and associated updates.

This anticipated briefing, outlined in a notice distributed to journalists by the Board’s Head of Public Relations, Fabian Benjamin, underscores the significance of this academic milestone.

However, initial indications suggest that the results to be unveiled on Monday will pertain to candidates who completed their examinations during the first few days of the testing period. The Board has indicated that additional results will follow suit after undergoing meticulous scrutiny and due diligence processes.

The decision to stagger the release of results underscores JAMB’s commitment to upholding the integrity and credibility of the examination outcomes. By exercising caution and conducting thorough assessments, JAMB aims to mitigate concerns related to potential malpractices such as impersonation and biometric discrepancies that could compromise the validity of the results.

Throughout the past week, candidates have undertaken the 2024 UTME at over 700 Computer-Based Test centers nationwide, marking an expansive and comprehensive evaluation of academic aptitude and readiness for tertiary education.

The examination, which commenced on Friday, April 19, 2024, is poised to conclude today, marking the culmination of an extensive assessment period for aspiring students seeking entry into various institutions of higher learning across Nigeria.
