JUST IN: Ibadan Poly Gets Acting Registrar, Bursar

The Oyo State Government has appointed Mr Adewunmi Joseph Ogunjimi as Acting Registrar of The Polytechnic, Ibadan. In the same vein, Mr David Olukola Taiwo has also been appointed as Acting Bursar.

The appointment letters of the duo conveyed the approval of the Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology on behalf of the State Government, dated 8th April was signed by the Acting Rector of the Institution, Dr Taiwo Lasisi.

Mr Adewunmi Joseph Ogunjimi, a seasoned Administrator until his acting appointment was the Deputy Registrar, Directorate of Academic Affairs of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
Mr Adewunmi Ogunjimi is a 1986 graduate of the University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife where he bagged a B.Sc degree in Psychology and capped it in 2005 with a MSc in Industrial Psychology at the Premier University, University of Ibadan. For his secondary school education, he attended Prospect High School, Aba Nla between 1973 and 1978.

An administrative Wizard, Mr Ogunjimi who joined the services of The Polytechnic, Ibadan as Administrative Officer II rose through the ranks and along the line occupied several positions of responsibility ranging from Asst. Registrar; Senior Staff Establishment(1996-1997), Senior Asst.
Registrar; Admissions Unit(1997-1999), Faculty Officer, Business and Communication Studies (2000-3003), Faculty Officer; Financial Management Studies (2003-2006), Principal Asst. Registrar; Students’Affairs (2007-2008), Deputy Registrar; Students’ Affairs (2008-2010), Head of Registry Department, Adeseun Ogundoyin Campus now Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa (2010-2014).

A doyen of Staff and Students, Mr Ogunjimi is a member of many professional bodies and has several honorary awards to his credit.
The Acting Registrar is happily married and blessed with responsible children.
The Acting Bursar, Mr David Olukola Taiwo was until his appointment a Chief Accountant with The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

He joined the services of The Polytechnic, Ibadan from the Nigerian Brewery PLC in March 1994 as an Accountant II. He rose through the ranks to the position of Chief Accountant in 2015. Mr David Taiwo holds HND, B.Sc and MSc in Accounting. He ia Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCE).

He had held several positions of responsibility within the Bursary Department such as Head of Treasury Unit and until his appointment, Head of Final Accounts Unit.
He is happily married and blessed with responsible children.
