Jimoh Abdulmueez, a 24-year-old computer engineering student at Kwara State University (KWASU), has been reported missing.
According to sources, Jimoh was last seen departing the university campus in Malete for his home in Ilorin last Thursday. However, he has not been seen since that time.
Efforts to locate him have included filing a report with the police, but as of yet, there have been no updates on his whereabouts. Jimoh’s mother, Jimoh Amdalat, has made a public appeal for any information regarding her son’s location, urging individuals to contact 07030889682.
Despite attempts to reach the university’s spokesperson, Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, for comment, no response has been received. However, a source within the institution has revealed that Jimoh’s parents visited the campus in search of him, but were unable to locate him.
Jimoh’s absence was noted when he failed to appear for a scheduled test on Friday, prompting concern among his friends. Their attempts to contact him went unanswered, leading them to notify his parents, who confirmed that he had not returned home.
Upon receiving this information, Jimoh’s parents promptly notified the authorities, prompting an investigation by the state police command. DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, spokesperson for the police command, has confirmed that an investigation into Jimoh’s disappearance is underway.
