Lagos State Education District I, Agege, under the leadership of Dr. Oyetola Olufunke Idowu, has celebrated the exceptional academic performance of Miss Esther Chioma Joseph, a student of Keke Senior High School, who emerged as one of the best-performing candidates in the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) with an outstanding record of nine A’s.
Miss Joseph, who was honoured with the “WASSCE 2024 Best Student” Award and a Certificate of Participation by the Nigeria Computer Society, Lagos Branch (NCS Lagos), has become a symbol of diligence, resilience, and determination for students across Lagos State.
In recognition of her previous academic brilliance, Keke Senior High School had sponsored her education from Senior Secondary School I to III. The 18-year-old, who hails from Anambra State, worked as a domestic assistant in the Ifako-Ijaiye Housing Estate while pursuing her education, showing remarkable discipline and an unyielding commitment to excellence.
Her inspiring story of perseverance has now earned her admission to study Veterinary Medicine at the University of Ibadan, a testament to her hard work and dedication to academic success.
Speaking at the celebration, the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Education District I, Dr. Oyetola Olufunke Idowu, congratulated Esther and lauded Keke Senior High School for its consistent support and encouragement.
