Education District III in Lagos State has held a four-hour intensive training for school principals, aimed at strengthening leadership and improving administrative efficiency across public schools in the district.
The session focused on Strengthening School Leadership, Enhancing Administrative Efficiency for Improved Learning, and compliance with the Lagos State Public Service Rules and Regulations. Facilitators addressed common mistakes made by school heads and offered strategies to avoid them, stressing the need for focused, task-by-task execution rather than multitasking to boost productivity.
One of the facilitators, Mr. Braimah Bashir, a retired Permanent Secretary in the Public Service Office, shared how the passion of his former teacher, Mrs. Okunowo, shaped his decision to become an educator.
He urged principals to lead with the same dedication, noting that passion and commitment remain essential to driving meaningful change in schools.
