In a decisive move to enhance the quality of education in Lagos State, the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education convened a strategic interactive meeting with the Principals of all 330 Senior Secondary Schools across the state.
The high-level engagement, held to realign priorities and strengthen collaboration within the education sector, focused on addressing pressing concerns including discipline, performance, and synergy between school leaders and key stakeholders.
According to the Ministry, “The meeting aims to tackle pressing issues, as it relates to discipline in all strata, align priorities, improve performance, and foster collaboration between Principals and stakeholders in the Education sector.”
Education officials emphasized the critical role of Principals as frontline leaders in driving reforms and ensuring policy implementation at the grassroots level. The gathering served as a platform for open dialogue, sharing best practices, and exploring innovative approaches to reposition Lagos schools for academic excellence and moral development.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to providing continuous support and resources to help schools thrive in an ever-evolving educational landscape.
