As part of his effort to fulfil his promise on quality education in the state, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu has directed Lagos State Ministry of Education to partner with Teach For Nigeria.
Disclosing this in Lagos, Mr Folawe Omikunle, the CEO of Teach for Nigeria, said, “After about 5 years of seeking audience with the second largest state in Nigeria, Lagos State. I am thrilled to announce that we have finally received a “no-objection” directive from the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Jide Sanwoolu, to partner with the Ministry of Education towards placing Fellows in high-need schools in Lagos state.”
“This news was shared in a meeting held last week at Mr Governor’s office in Alausa, ikeja in the presence of the state’s Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, and the leadership of the Ministry of Education,” he added.
He said, “Teach For Nigeria Board member, Mrs Alero Ayida Otobo, Ambassadors-Mrs Lai Koiki/Joke Silva & my amazing colleagues.”
“We look forward to collaborating with Lagos State as we work collectively with all stakeholders and communities towards ensuring quality education for all children,” he explained.
