Lagos School of Nursing Conducts Entrance Exam for 1,399 Candidates

The Lagos State College of Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health Nursing has conducted a Computer-Based Test (CBT) entrance examination for 1,399 candidates seeking admission into the Department of Nursing for the year 2020/2021 session.

Speaking before the commencement of the entrance examination held recently at the CBT Centre, Lagos State University, Ojo Campus, the Provost, Mrs. Oyefunso Orenuga, reiterated the determination of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration to achieve a technology-based educational sector in Lagos State.

She emphasised that it is essential to upgrade and adopt new technology like the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for entrance examination into the College, following the global pandemic which has reduced social and physical interaction.

While appreciating the Service Provider, NEFTI, and Management of CBT Centre, LASU, for their support and cooperation towards the success of the exercise, Orenuga disclosed that 1694 candidates obtained the entrance form, 1,399 candidates sat for the examination, 295 candidates were absent while 121 candidates passed and were invited for the oral interview.

“Successful candidates from the 121 shortlisted candidates for the oral interview will be admitted into the Department of Nursing for Basic Nursing Training Programme (BNP) for a three-year study period,” Orenuga said.
