LASU Bursar,Directorate of ICT get award

Two members of staff at the Lagos State University, the Bursar, Mr Said Olayinka, and the Director, Directorate of ICT, Prof. Oluwatoyin Enikuomehin, have been honoured and inducted into the African Legendary Hall of Fame.

A statement by the university said Olayinka, an accomplished chartered accountant, and Enikuomehin, a professor of Computer Science, were inducted into the prestigious African Legendary Hall of Fame by the Afrikanwatch Network.

It stated that some other eminent Nigerians, including a former Senator, Senator Anthony Adefuye; former Vice-Chancellor, University of Uyo, Akwa-Ibom, Fola Lasisi; who was also the Father of the Day; the Attorney-General, and Minister of Justice of the Federation, Prince Fagbemi; Vice-Chancellor, University of Delta, Agbor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke; and Rector, Yaba College of Technology, Dr Ibraheem Abdul, amongst others.

It read, “The open secret behind LASU’s remarkable success in recent years was further unravelled as two influential figures in the university’s administration, the Bursar, Mr Said Babatunde Olayinka, and the Director of the Directorate of ICT, Prof. Oluwatoyin Enikuomehin, fittingly earned their stripes with the conferment of honours upon them at the Afrikanwatch 13th Lecture, Awards, and Induction Ceremony.”

It revealed that the programme, which took place at the College Hall, Yaba College of Technology, was titled, ‘Nigerian Politics of Today: The Quest for National Rebirth ….Reclaiming the Identity of a Nation.’
